It finally happened - after dodging Covid for over 3 years I’ve spent the last week or so down and out. I’m still not feeling 100% but hoping to be back to my routine soon.
The upside is that prior to getting sick I had an excellent month of May. I worked on some fun client work, enjoyed the emergence of the sun here in the PNW, took a trip to Vancouver, BC for the first time, and adopted a dog!
Since I’ve fallen ill I’ve mainly been sleeping, playing the new Zelda, and restlessly wandering the house willing myself to no longer be sick. I also (finally) finalized pre-ordering for my new zine, The Circle of Eternal Return.
As my newsletter buds, you can pre-order early before I open it up fully later this week. As a token of my appreciation for your support, all pre-orders come with a bonus treat - a 4”x6” sticker sheet of artwork from the zine! Check it out!
About The Circle of Eternal Return
This zine is a blend of visuals and texts that have been recurring themes in my reality.
The first spread (below) asks “What is the substance of the world in which you live?” while the subsequent pages both answer and expand that question.
The process of creating The Circle of Eternal Return was an exercise in grounding myself in my environment. I’ve always believed that the most profound truths and deepest meaning exist enfolded in our everyday. We’re so used to living within it that we become blind to it. This zine is a loose narrative that explores that fact, along with signs and meaning, the cyclical nature of the universe, and experiences based on specific perspectives in time and space.
I’m very proud to finally be ready to send these out into the world. Concepting and creating this zine was an important process for me, and I hope you enjoy it, too. These should ship toward the end of June. Check out all the other specifics on the pre-order page!
Keeping this newsletter short and sweet so I can rest and be back to 100% soon. Thanks as always for reading!
